Instruction, Practice & Player Development

Dedicated golf professionals support players at every stage of their game. Instructional programs, private lessons, and junior development opportunities help members build confidence, improve skills, and deepen their enjoyment of the game.
Comprehensive practice facilities allow golfers to sharpen their skills and spend time on the range, short game areas, and putting surfaces before or after their rounds.

Tournaments & Club Events

A full calendar of golf events brings members together throughout the season. From member tournaments and leagues to family-friendly events and social play, the golf program at CCD balances competition with fun, creating memorable experiences both on and off the course.

Junior & Family Golf

Families are an important part of golf at CCD. Junior golf programs introduce young players to the game in a supportive and encouraging environment, helping them develop skills, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of golf. Family play opportunities allow members to share the game across generations.

Junior Golf Info

The Country Club of Decatur is proud of the success of its Junior Golf Program and Academy students and encourages weekly attendance and participation. Our goal of becoming the finest program in the area is deeply rooted in the growth of “family golf”. Our students, ages six through eleven, continue to improve their skills and love for golf, while learning in a fun and exciting environment. Active participation from both parents and juniors is what separates our junior program from the rest. Make it a priority to get your children involved and you will be as proud of them as we are.

Dress Code:
Generally accepted are golf slacks, Bermuda-length shorts, golf shirts, golf shoes (soft spikes) or tennis shoes. Shirts must be tucked into slacks or shorts.

Not Allowed:
Ladies: Skirts or shorts which are above “mid-thigh”, denim (see above), halter or tank tops, cut-offs.
Men: Shorts that are above “mid-thigh”, denim (see above), collarless and/or sleeveless shirts, cut-offs.

2026 Developmental Junior Golf Program - $100/person for the season

This program is structured to introduce and educate our Junior Golfers in the areas of safety, rules, etiquette, and instruction in a fun and positive learning atmosphere. The Golf Professional Staff will provide instruction in all areas of the game, such as full swing, putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play. Juniors will be grouped by ability/age and their progress in all categories will be monitored throughout the program.

**Clinic and Play Days**
June: 5^th, 12^th, 19^th, 26^th
July: 10^th, 17^th, 24^th
Ages 12 & Up	Clinics 7:30am-8:15am, Play 9 after clinics
Ages 10-12	Clinics 8:15am-9:00am, Play 5 holes after clinics
Ages 7-9	Clinics 9:am-9:45am, Play 3 holes after clinics
Ages 4-6	Clinics 9:45am-10:15am, Play Hole #7 from 100-yard marker
